Dr. Rene Nobrega

Rene is an internationally qualified general dentist with a Bachelor of Dental Science, completed in 1999 and a post graduate degree in Endodontics, completed in
Rene opened up his own private practice, where he became a respected clinician among his community. Rene lived, with his family, in Geelong Victoria for many years before they made the decision to head north to the beautiful Sunshine Coast in December 2014 to join Dental Practices in Kawana and Brisbane.
Rene always knew that dentistry had to be done differently, with no judgment, no pain and no fear. He also knew that a great patient experience was essential, so he purchased Buderim Dental Surgery, in the heart of the Buderim Village, back in 2015.
Rene is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of oral care to Buderim and the Sunshine Coast region. All treatments are approached with gentle hands and a deep understanding of his patients needs and wants before he begins. Dr. Patrick Maher Allan
Hailing from North Queensland, Patrick graduated with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University in 2014.
He was one of 100 dental graduates nationwide
to be offered a place in the Voluntary Dental Graduate Year Program. As a result, Patrick spent 18 months servicing remote communities.
Giving back is in Patrick’s DNA. When not working at Banksia House Dental, he is working part time with Queensland Health as a Dental Officer.In all his spare time, he also holds an Associate Lecturer position with the University of Queensland. Patrick enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and prides himself on practicing patient-centred care.
Outside of work, Patrick is an avid supporter of the North Queensland Cowboys and more recently, trail bike riding.
Passionate about Dental Hygiene
Christy who is originally from Scotland, began her career in dentistry in 2005 as a dental assistant at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital.
as a dental assistant for 5 years she decided to advance her career and went on to study at the Greater Manchester School for Dental Care Professionals where she graduated in 2013 with a dual qualification in Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene.
Christy worked between private and NHS practices in the Greater Manchester area for a further 2 years before pursuing her dream of moving to Australia.
Christy and her partner emigrated to Australia in 2015 and have finally settled in the Sunshine Coast after enduring 5 years of cold Melbourne winters! Christy has 2 children which keep her busy and they enjoy exploring the local area, enjoy bush walks and bike rides and have regular visits to the beach which the whole family love!
Christy is very passionate about helping patients improve their oral hygiene and has a kind and friendly nature which helps even the most nervous patients feel relaxed during treatment. Christy enjoys seeing both adults and children and has experience in treating patients with complex medical histories and special needs.
Christy focuses on building up a strong rapport with her patients and enjoys seeing them on a regular basis to keep them motivated in good oral hygiene practices and keeping their mouths in tip top condition.
Candice grew up here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast; she started her career in the dental industry over 17 years ago and draws from her
experience in both general dental and specialist practices.
She has a wealth of knowledge and is here to answer any of your dental needs. Candice leads our team and strives to provide our patients with the very best care and experience.
Outside of work Candice is kept busy chasing after her two young daughters, she enjoys spending time outdoors and planning her next adventure to Japan to visit family.
2nd Officer of First Impressions
After completing year 12 in 2005, Kirsty started working as a dental receptionist and has enjoyed this role ever since.
She moved to Airlie Beach in
2007 and spent 6 years on the front desk of a local dental practice as well as doing what she loves… fishing, boating and camping.
She returned to the Sunny Coast with her partner and has had a baby boy and a baby girl, whom now take up much of her spare time. Her favourite place is the beach, swimming and soaking up the sun.
Department of Youth
Lorrina is our youngest team member, but don’t get fooled by her young appearance, she is an excellent Dental Assistant.
Training under Sally, her great attitude
towards learning has seen her confidence grow with every new challenge. Lorrina’s favourite past time are spending time with her friends and wakeboarding.
